The Tips Lecture Series-I was held on August 5, 2025, in Kolkata, featuring a lecture by Uttam Kumar Sinha, scholar of transboundary rivers, climate change and the Arctic and author of Trial by Water: Indus Basin and India-Pakistan Relations. Speaking on “Water Security and the Indus Treaty,” he analysed the strategic vulnerabilities of the Ganges-Brahmaputra and Indus basins, the geopolitical evolution of the Indus Treaty and its long-term implications for India-Pakistan relations.
