Welcome to Tips

The Tagore Institute of Peace Studies (Tips) is a pioneering institution dedicated to cultivating a deep understanding of peace in the next generation of leaders.

Inspired, among others, by the visionary worldview of Rabindranath Tagore, its mission is to mould young minds with the knowledge, ethical approach and practical expertise required to drive meaningful and lasting change in both local and global peace and development initiatives.

The Institute believes that peace is not confined to activists or pacifists alone; it is a struggle waged within every human mind. Its curriculum seeks to create a transformative mental space in students, channelling thoughts, ideologies, prejudices and even hate into pathways of peace.

The Tagore Institute of Peace Studies is a public charitable trust, a West Bengal Federation of United Nations Associations platform for inclusive learning, aided by the Dwarkadas Sitaram Sharma Trust, and guided by the visionary worldview of Rabindranath Tagore.
